StarOffice adalah kumpulan aplikasi/suite office yang dikeluarkan oleh Sun Microsystem yang free alias gratis, full-featured, Ms. Office kompatibel, open standards-based, dan powerful yang mengkombinasikan fungsi pengolah kata, spreadsheet, desain grafik, presentasi, HTML editing, e-mail, news reader, scheduling, dan database dalam satu lingkungan yang terintegrasi.

StarOffice menyediakan semua aplikasi yang ada pada Ms. Office, bahkan lebih lengkap dan unggul. Suite StarOffice versi Linux merupakan suite gratis untuk penggunaan non komersial sedang untuk penggunaan kommersial diperlukan lisensi.
